We provide care of the highest quality with compassion and kindness. We have over 50 expertly trained care staff working in the local community to provide care and support where it’s needed.
Our History
Established as a family business in 1986, under the name Helping Hands Care, our care has built a strong reputation for delivering compassionate care and support to our valued clients.
The team has continued to grow and evolve, reaching further across East Devon, opening a Honiton office to be a base for those further east in Devon.
In 2023 we rebranded to become the business we are today, River Exe Healthcare; this enabled us to continue to grow and expand our services, with a brand, look and feel aligned to our vision for the future.

1986
Helping Hands Care is started as a family run business providing care in the Exmouth area.
2018
Helping Hands Care comes under new ownership but remains under the leadersip of a family run business.
2023
River Exe Healthcare becomes the new name, enabling the company to expand and grow regionally.
